Guess what we did today? We enjoyed the afternoon with my cousin, Lisa, and her family as we all celebrated Sarah Lynn’s birthday. It’s hard to believe she’s four. We saw my Aunt Sarah from Richfield and were able to visit with everyone and get caught up. It was a fun afternoon and evening.

My mom has two brother-in-laws who are struggling with health issues. One is in the hospital and another is headed there for surgery to remove cancerous tissue (for a second time in the same spot) on Tuesday. My birthday’s coming up in a couple of weeks. This week on American Idol the contestants sang songs […]

My brother-in-law’s uncle has passed away. I just found out today. He and my sister and their family (Vance and the dogs) are on their way to a funeral today, stopping at my folks’ home to spend the night on their way to Roxbury, New York. We wish them Godspeed and all the best. Your […]

Happy Easter

We had a fun Easter Sunday. The kids were thrilled to find Easter baskets chalk full of candy, stuffed animals and movies. Yesterday morning we had an Easter egg hunt at the Coglianese’s where all 11 kids were able to fill their baskets with 20 or so candy-filled Easter eggs. Today Vickey and I sang […]

The cousins were up and at ‘em before 7 a.m. again this morning. There’s just no rest for the weary. I took the day off work so we could all hang out together. Eliana’s friends, Olympia and Penelope came over to play with the gang this morning. They frosted sugar cookies. I made a pineapple […]

It’s sunny and beautiful here in the Las Vegas Valley (sorry if you’re jealous, Ang). The pollen is still abundant but it’s just too nice to stay inside all the time. Here are a few photos of the kiddies playing yesterday in the back yard. While the kids were filthy from their sidewalk chalk festival, […]

Sick, sick, sick

This allergy season has to be the worst I’ve experienced. My head is in a fog. My sinuses are completely stuffed, my ears are clogged, my throat is raw and my forehead throbs. This has been my continual state of being for 7 days now. After the first hour of church this morning I had […]

Happy Birthday mom!

0

I was getting ready for bed and realized I still have 50 more minutes to wish my mom a happy birthday, even though her birthday passed two hours and 10 minutes ago in New York. We called this afternoon and sang happy birthday on her answering machine, so hopefully that’ll be a fun and memorable […]

Communicator of the Year photos

As promised, here’s a link to some photos from the Feb. 26 Las Vegas chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators Bronze Quill Awards. They’re posted in our Flickr account. In other news, our friends Mark and Amber have carefully prepared their home to go on the market in preparation for moving to Utah […]
