Saying goodbye to Uncle Kenny
0We received word yesterday that Vickey’s uncle Kenny passed away. He was Murriel’s younger and only brother. He and his wife, Cathy, are from American Fork, Utah. I believe I’ve only met them once or twice. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Dodds family and especially to Vickey’s mom, Murriel.
In memoriam: Faith Cronk
0Our good friends and former neighbors are now living in Colorado. They reminded us that this past week was the birthday of their first daughter who was conceived and grew almost until birth but passed away due to terminal developmental problems with the fetus. They aptly named her Faith and we took some time Saturday […]
Oatmeal chocolate chip cookies
2One of my favorite treats is the chocolate chip cookie served by Great Harvest Bread Company. I love its whole-grain taste. I have experimented with a recipe to get just the right flavor and texture and have one that’s pretty close to the real thing. Great Harvest serves their chocolate chip cookie as a large, […]

1If you’re in the market for a new computer, I’ve got some good discount coupons for a new Dell system. They expire May 28. Just let me know if you’d like to use one of the coupons. I have several.
Dominic’s first trip to Lake Mead
1Friday night and Saturday morning Dominic and I attended our ward’s annual father and son’s campout in commemoration of the restoration of the Aaronic Priesthood to Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery in May 1829. We visit various campsites around Southern Nevada but usually end up at Lake Mead every other year. Mark and Jared and […]
Family photo albums from MyPublisher
0We were introduced to a company that takes your personal photos and creates books. We decided to try it out for mother’s and father’s day this year. Both sets of grandparents received a Pete and Vickey Codella Family Photo Album with photos from 2007. Happy Mother’s Day! The books turned out great. The quality is […]
Kids pet the horses in New Harmony
0Across from my parent’s lot the neighbors have a few horses. All Eliana and Dominic wanted to do this morning was go pet the horses. It was animal magnetism, drawing the kids closer and closer. They got to pet one of the horses, and feed it grass that was growing around the corral. Here’s a […]
