I’m a fortunate husband and proud father. My wife is a special education teacher at Herriman High School. My daughter is a dental assistant working at a West Valley City practice. My son is a U.S. Marine.
I work in the Utah Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity as managing director of business services. I oversee a team of about 30 state employees who support Utah small businesses through various state and federal programs. I also host the office’s Business Elevated podcast.
I have an MBA from the University of Utah and a BA from Brigham Young University.
I enjoy music and musical theater, woodworking and home improvement projects, being outdoors, and spending time with my family. You can find me on stage once or twice a year in semi-professional and community theater productions. I also regularly sing in our church choir and at funerals for family members and friends.
Feel free to connect with me on just about any social media platform.
About PeteCodella.blog
This is my personal blog (since 2009). It replaces my older family blog.
Here, I chronicle my family’s activities, comment on my kids’ escapades, and provide occasional reviews and thoughts on current affairs.
I welcome your comments and considerate participation.
From 2011 to 2014, I contributed to the Modern Mormon Men blog. You can read my posts on MMM here.
About LDS High Council Talks
From March 2014 to May 2018, I served as a member of the high council in the South Jordan Utah River Ridge Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I posted my sacrament meeting talks on this blog in the LDS high council talks category.
The Family
Here’s our last family portrait, taken in Big Cottonwood Canyon just east of the Salt Lake Valley in October 2017. Yes, it’s time for a new family photo.
