I was happy last week to be contacted by my dad’s cousin in Wisconsin and told about a Yahoo group for members of the Pietro and Rose Codella branch of the greater Codella clan from Calitri, Italy. The group was created by and for Pietro and Rose’s descendents and is open to all bearing the Codella name at any point in their lives or their parent’s lives, as well as more distant relatives and friends of same. The goal of the group is to keep in touch and share life’s events. It’s a fine goal for an extended family.

In fact, I started a Facebook group for the Codella Family for the same purpose.

So all you Codellas out there, please join us in one or both of the online groups. It would be great to band together, share memories, stories and family histories.

For the Yahoo group, go to groups.yahoo.com. You’ll have to have a Yahoo ID and password, which you can create for free. Then just search for “codellafamily.”

For Facebook, go to facebook.com. Once you set-up your profile, you can join groups. This group is also called “Codella Family.”
