We celebrated Vickey’s birthday this week. She and Ellie’s birthdays are just a few days apart. It makes for a busy, but fun week.

We spent some time together in the morning, having breakfast and opening gifts. Then Ellie went to school while I stayed behind with Dominic and Vickey ran some errands.

Vickey had to work during the afternoon and evening of her birthday, so we met as a family for dinner at PF Chang’s — birthday girl’s choice.

Our family is lucky to have a wife and mom who’s so committed and loving. She’s working hard these days to keep the household and her job going, spending lots of time on the road getting the kids and herself to where everyone needs to be (her to work, Eliana to school and Dominic to my cousin Lisa’s).

We love you Vickey and hope you had a fun birthday, even though you had to work.
