Happy Easter

We had a fun Easter Sunday. The kids were thrilled to find Easter baskets chalk full of candy, stuffed animals and movies.

Yesterday morning we had an Easter egg hunt at the Coglianese’s where all 11 kids were able to fill their baskets with 20 or so candy-filled Easter eggs.

Today Vickey and I sang in the ward choir while Brian and Melissa, with some help from Amber, watched Eliana and Dominic. Vickey taught Sunday School. We relaxed and even took naps this afternoon. And we had eight adults and 13 kids here for dinner at 6 p.m.

The Easter menu was complete with ham, homemade rolls, funeral potatoes, mandarin orange Jello salad, corn casserole and Aunt Sarah’s homemade sweet pickles (my favorites). We topped it off with chocolate cake and my pineapple cheesecake. So good!

Luckily the kids entertained themselves in the back yard after eating on the banquet tables out there. It was nice that most of the chaos stayed outside (not all of it, but most of it).

We talked with my sister, Angie, and my parents today. The grandkids exchanged silly jokes with grandma and grandpa.

Grandma Codella asked where photos of Brian, Vickey and Nick were, so I’ll be sure to give equal time in my photo journal for today.

We’re so blessed as a family. We’re all so blessed to have a Savior who made it possible for us to return to our Father in Heaven. We celebrate this Easter season the resurrection of Jesus Christ and all he has made possible for us to receive and benefit from.

Happy Easter!

And finally, here’s a photo of Nick that Vickey took at the Town Square park Friday afternoon.
