Day 54 of my full-time mission
Area: Afton, Wyoming
Today went great! I studied all morning and learned so much. At 1 p.m., we attended church in Thayne. We spoke in the 2nd Ward sacrament meeting. It was fun. I got carried away, though, and used up more than my share of the time, but Gatlin didn’t seem to mind.
The spirit was really there. We got several compliments afterwards, including, “those were the best missionary talks I’ve ever heard.” It was a privilege to do that. We got to eat at the bishop’s home afterwards – the Haderlies. They’re super folks.
Tonight, we visited some friends of Gatlin’s from Roy who were visiting their families. That was fun.
I just finished writing to Mom and Dad, telling them I’m fine now, that I feel great, and that I am glad to be here.
Diane Hogan, an investigator, was in the Thayne sacrament meeting today, and she told us she really enjoyed the sermons. She told the bishop that she’d like to be taught by us. We had planned on contacting her today, so we called and got another teaching appointment set up. We’re scheduled to do more teaching this week than in the past three weeks combined.
My Scripture: Moroni 6:5-6 — …the church did meet together oft, to fast and to pray…
