We also paid a visit to Strawberry Reservoir. It was one of those summer afternoons when thunderclouds were overhead but no rain was falling. It was actually quite beautiful.

Some of the folks at the lake were collecting crawdads, and they were big ones.

Dominic wanted to pet them but we managed to keep his fingers away from the claws. His two favorite expressions as of late are “I help,” and “I pet.” And it doesn’t matter whether it’s a deer, hummingbird, air plane…you name it, Dominic wants to pet it.
