Missionary Journal – June 7, 1989

Day 8 of my full-time mission
Area: Missionary Training Center, Provo, Utah

Right now I’m listening to a tape that Evan sent me yesterday. It’s neat. He’s really spiritual but maybe that’s because I asked him for advice on a mission. He loves to give advice!

This morning I went to the Provo Temple with the district. Man, once we finally got there, at 6 a.m., it was a great experience! I prayed in the celestial room and I could feel the Savior’s love for me. It was great!

Preparation Day was a good break. I got some laundry and letter writing done. I even got to play football for a while. That was fun.

John supposedly got here today. I didn’t see him though. I was going to go see him, but I wrote down the wrong thing for his address, so I didn’t go see him. I’m sure I’ll run into him. I can’t wait!

I saw Mark Coglianese today. We talked a little. You know, everyone around here is just so happy. Me too! The spirit is so great. The one thing for happiness in this life is the gospel of Jesus Christ.
