A visit to New Harmony
On the 10th, and on our way north for our end of the summer family getaway, we stopped at Grandma and Grandpa Codella’s new homestead in New Harmony.
It’s off a dirt road, up in the southwestern hills of New Harmony. Grandpa had to guide us there while we were on the mobile phone.
Here’s the view to the east.
And here’s the view to the west.
It’s a pretty amazing piece of property, secluded with loads of potential.
For my taste, it would need a paved road with curbs, gutters and sidewalks and perhaps a fence on the perimeter (as long as Tank’s around) and a grocery store within 10 miles. But for now, it’s pure rugged beauty. We’ll see what it looks like when the parents Codella finally make their move in a handful of years (just when will that be?).
It took a good 15 minutes to explore the lot. Tank had the task completed in 5 minutes or less but it took us two-legers a bit longer.
I took 10 minutes of video as I explored. One of these evenings when I have some extra time I’ll upload the video as part of a new post.
